Heyas!
I just installed two new Wayne Dalton garage doors and ZWave enabled iDrive Pro openers. (I got the very latest versions of both door and opener, and I think they are pretty sweet!)
The openers do not come with the overhead light accessory and instead call out for using a switch, like the Intermatic HA18c to control the garage light switch.
The instructions show using the handy remote (or other controllers) to set up the opener and switch so the opener signals the switch to turn on the garage lights when the door is opened.
So, instead of getting the handy remote, I got the TE plus ThinkStick deal that is on this site.
I fired up TE and it immediately recognized the switch. However, I cannot get it to correctly add the iDrive. It will recognize a "device" but it is unknown (it doesn't get the name, but knows it is a Wayne Dalton Z Wave enabled device.) It puts the big red circle/slash around the device.
I know I can't control the opener from TE, but I just want to pair up the switch and opener without having to buy the remote.
So, does anyone know if TE correctly (should) recognize the iDrive?
Thanks!
Greg
