Any plans to have addressable Z-Wave devices?

    Hi,

I am just thinking on towards future products.

Are any plans in the works to provide the ability to program Z-Wave devices remotely? I am thinking of an occasion where I might wire up a relay switch in my attic, and not be able to get up there every time I change controllers. I realize that this may not be possible at all with Z-Wave protocol. Just curious.

    Hi Ken,

The same scenario exists for in-wall in-line relays :) We've been consulting with a few customers recently on how to do this--and you'll likely see the first "non-button" devices this year...

That said, you can just "move" the primary controller capability between different controllers--or you can make a new Primary if you lose/break the old one using the Wayne-Dalton Internet Gateway or Leviton's Vizia RF Foyer.
