What do you want to know about Z-Wave?

This is a bit off-topic; I apologize, but it seems to fit in here best :)

I'm putting together a list of Z-Wave FAQ's. I'm also interested in "ask the expert" type of questions.

There is an opportunity to get a few of these in print, and answered as well.

Do any of you have such questions? :)

One thing I'm not yet clear on (among others) is what "groups" are and what their purpose is. I had seen a discussion about Homeseer using group 1 to get instant status notifications, but I didn't know what these groups are or their purpose.

I'll second that - the whole groups thing is a bit much for most newbie users, and the documentation that comes with new Z-Wave devices is usually pretty woeful.  Examples of how to set up switches and lights to work together would be useful to a lot of people, I'd imagine - especially multiple switches controlling a single light (or group of lights).

Configuration parameters are another area that are not imediately obvious - I didn't even know they existed until I stumbled across them when installing a Z-Wave PIR.
