COOPER WIRING DEVICES SHOWS ASPIRE RF SDIO CARD
    Featuring ControlThink ThinkEssentials Installer Software

PEACHTREE CITY, GA - March 29, 2006 - Cooper Wiring Devices is showcasing its new ASPIRE RF SDIO card featuring ControlThink's ThinkEssentials Installer software at the Electronic House Expo (EHX) from March 29 - April 1, 2006. The ASPIRE RF SDIO card with ThinkEssentials Installer software allows electrical contractors and installers to set up an entire lighting appliance control system throughout a home using just their Pocket PC or PDA phone.

The software works with the card to store security codes and configuration details for multiple homes. An intuitive installer tool feature indicates if and where gaps exist in the network in real time and facilitates the placement of devices to ensure effective connectivity and coverage.

"The ASPIRE RF SDIO card with ThinkEssentials installer software puts the best tools that contractors and installers can have in their hands, to quickly accomplish their installation goals," says Chris Walker, president of ControlThink. "It's designed to be used with very little training and allows for near-effortless installations. It's been great to work with an industry-leader like Cooper Wiring Devices to conceptualize this product integration and provide such an innovative, cutting-edge home automation solution."

Cooper Wiring Devices' ASPIRE RF products incorporate Z-Wave's range-extending 900 MHz two-way RF (radio frequency) technology, using collision sensing and random back-off to reduce interference. Moreover, it establishes a mesh network, providing reliability and redundancy in home control, allowing each device to act as a repeater, capable of routing around areas of potential congestion.

Using the same aesthetic design as the contemporary-styled ASPIRE Design System line of decorator wiring devices, ASPIRE RF includes the ASPIRE signature curve motif and contrasting matte and low-gloss finishes. The series comes in three, two-tone color combinations: Desert Sand, White Satin and Silver Granite.

Cooper Wiring Devices and ControlThink will offer product demonstrations, utilizing the ASPIRE RF SDIO card with ThinkEssentials installer software, in booths 1542 and 320-H at EHX in Orlando, Fla. from March 29 – April 1, 2006.
