    .Net Compact Framework

Hi, Sales tell me that the ControlThink library won't work under Windows CE (Compact Framework) BUT I found an Infosys article which suggests that the library has been ported to .Net Micro Framework see: (http://www.infosysblogs.com/microsoft/2008/02/controlling_home_appliances_fr.html). I am looking for a library to drive ZWave from an embedded PC - either Windows CE or Linux maybe ??. Then I'll write my own controller app. OR - I need a ZWave controller which can be run remotely (TCP/IP interface maybe) ??. The article suggests that a leviton 'Vizia RF Foyer' might exist but I can't seem to find such a product ;-(. Anyone know of such a product - or library maybe ??. Sorry if this is posted to the wrong forum but couldn't see a more appropriate one ;-). Many Thanks Graham

     Hi Graham,

Unfortunately, the ControlThink Z-Wave SDK will not function under Windows CE.  Also, the Vizia RF+ Foyer has been cancelled.  This is certainly the correct place to post your inquiry into other Z-Wave solutions that would work under CF, as it's possible that someone on here might know more.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply - I am just trying to pick this up again....

I see other posts about 'Windows embedded'  - so what are the problems under CE ??. Is is a device driver issue or basic Framework compatibility issues - bearing in mind that CE 6 now supports CF 3.5 - which has most of the desktop CF functionality available ;-O.

Failing that - anyone else got a handle on ZWave under CE please ??

I would have thought that a small embedded CE device would be an ideal platform to run ZWave on :-O

    Thanks

    Graham
