    Re: Sirius Conductor

Justin--the Sirius Conductor is a special kind of device.  I can't remember exactly how it works, but I believe that you need to do something along the following lines:

[NOTE: the following is meant only as helpful device.  It may very well reset your device and could cause service interruptions by unlinking your remote and receiver, etc.  Use at your own risk. :) ]

    Receiver
    1. Reset the receiver (press "remove device" in ThinkEssentials, press or press and hold the button on the side of the receiver-- can't remember which)
    2. Add the receiver (press "add device" in ThinkEssentials, press or press and hold the button on the side of the receiver--can't remember which)

    Remote
The remote is trickier.  What you may need to do is figure out a way to link the receiver to a fully reset remote and then add in your ThinkStick or transfer primary role to your ThinkStick.  The conductor remote/receiver seem to be designed somewhat as a standalone system which can use a Z-Wave device as a repeater--but that may just be my thinking from really old firmware that I used when it first came out.  Nifty device though!

If the above steps don't work for you, please contact the manufacturer of your remote or refer to the Sirius Conductor manual for more assistance.  Unfortunately, we can't provide technical support for 3rd-party products, but hopefully this is at least helpful...

Supposedly the SDK supports this type of device. I sthere any documentation on this? I added the device (Node #2) but I cant even do a simple Poweron Poweroff, the command times out......

    Re: Sirius Conductor

Chris all I want to be able to do is use the API provided for the ControlThink.ZWave.Devices.Specific.SatelliteReceiver, like the SendKeys function. To be able to do this I need to be able to either

    a) Add the tuner/receiver

    b) Add the remote

Not able to do either. Am I right in assuming that these need to be added as Devices? I would think you would know how to do this, especially considering your comments here http://forums.controlthink.com/p/664/1853.aspx#1853 and here http://forums.controlthink.com/p/892/2557.aspx#2557 . Ill be quite frustrated to hear that ControlThink doesnt know much more than what you just posted here.....

    Thanks

    Justin

    P.S. I dont use ThinkEssentials

    Re: Sirius Conductor

I played with one of the early receiver units (reset it, added it into the network, changed the channels via SendKeys-type functionality as you described), but other than that I haven't had a chance to play much with.

While it's a Z-Wave device, they technically only recommended using it stand-alone with maybe one or two devices in the network to act as repeaters.  Additionally, the may have updated the firmware or changed the device profile since it shipped.

    Re: Sirius Conductor

    Chris,

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry if I seemed rude, just a bit frustrated at the time. I want all my devices, controllers, code/software to be all in one. I dont want 2-3 controllers, etc ya know? So anyways Im able to add the receiver as a node into my network which is controlled by my USB ThinkStick.....however I cant power it on (device.PowerOn), sendkeys, nothing....all I can do is add it to the network, and remove it from the network...  [:'(]

Any thing pop in your head? Man Im bummed..

    Re: Sirius Conductor

No nothing here. Basically was told here that I could do stuff with the conductor through my think stick and code...but that is not the case...
