ThinkEssentials Beta crashes on Windows Home Server

Downloaded the beta file a couple of times, extracted it to a folder on my desktop.  The program starts to load and then suddenly crashes/disappears without any error message.

    Two questions:

    1. Do you have .NET 1.1 or newer installed on your Home Server?
    2. What Z-Wave adapter are you using (HA22, ThinkStick, etc.)?

I'm running ThinkEssentials 2.1 beta on a few HP Home Servers without issues--but that doesn't mean there's not a potential bug there.

     1)  Yes.  I had .net 2.0 service pack 1 installed.  I have updated to .net 3.0.  This is on a machine that I built and has been running fine.  Now when I try to run the beta, I get an error message before it crashes:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

     Process id=0xdc8 (3528), Thread id=0x980 (2432)

I am also running PowerPack 1 beta on the Home Server - it is suppose to fix alot of the data corruption problems they are having

    2)  I have the Intermatic Home Settings HA22.  Also, is this adapter compatable with your Pro version?

    Git,

You need a ThinkStick or at least another Z-Wave adapter with "installer" firmware to take advantage of the Professional Edition features.

Regarding the HA22, there's a bug in our serial port driver interface in the current beta (introduced when we moved to 64-bit compatibility).  We're working on fixing it, but it's likely the problem here.

    Git,

Please try the new beta (build 3), which should fix the support issue with the Intermatic HA22.

Yep - that did the trick, version 2.1 (build 3) appears to be working fine for me   :)

On a side note, you guys need to get a 'presence' on Amazon.com - that's how I found out about these Z wave devices to begin with.  Had I known about your  "Think Stick" and "Pro" version of the software, I would have bought that from the get go.  Now it looks like if I want to upgrade, I wasted $60 on the HA22 and basic software   :(

    Thanks
