    Support for ASSOCIATIONS? PIR Sensor

    Hi, Chris,

My computer was VISTA CRASHED!  and i am just getting back up and reloading ALL my software.... sob! poor me! [:'(]

Does Think Essentials have support for Associations (i.e. PIR Sensor) ?  If yes, where do I learn about this.

I'm currently using the HAO7 as main controller, (with the new USB ThinkStick almost on-line) and I've ordered the InTouch Master controller (Intermatic InTouch Wireless Hand-Held Remote Controller and Smartbase Kit #CA5500BR), because (it's rechargeable and) it is listed as needed to use the PIR Sensor.  (I can always use another remote).

Does the InTouch Smartbase Kit work well with ThinkEssentials Software?

I'm up to about 35 modules at this point, and have decided to upgrade to ThinkEssentials Pro.  Hay, gotta have some fun and learning in my life.

     I'm happy to be back.

    Thanks.

    Alan

Since I've not gotten ANY responses, I'm left feeling like I asked a dumb question!??

Does anyone know about Intermatic's InTouch controllers and modules?  If so, where do I go to have help adding them to my current HomeSettings system?

I got the InTouch Controller and Base Unit, but it appears they don't sync with my Home Settings HA07 controller.  Any other Forums that cover this kind of issue would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion is to call Intermatic Technical Support (815)675-2321 in IL.

What a great suggestion!  Thank you.

I ended up calling them and resolving several issues.

    Great suggestion!

     You're welcome.

Intermatic has made some "strange/not-so-user-friendly" marketing decisions in regard to Z-Wave device compatibility.  For example: "some" Intermatic HomeSettings products can talk to "some" Intermatic InTouch products, BUT NOT ALL!!!  Even though they are all Z-Wave and supposed to all talk to each other.  I don't understand why they did this, but only the Intermatic engineers know what-talks-to-what.  And luckily, the Intermatic folks are really nice people to talk to if you can handle the long hold times to reach them.  They really need a forum like this one......To make matters worse, Intermatic is coming out with their new I-Wave products for pool controls!  I just can't wait to hear how they plan on integrating all these products in a single-home installation.......and how many Z-Wave controllers you'll need to run everything..lol
