A GeneralThermostatV2 is basically exactly like the first-gen GeneralThermostat device profile but it has one new feature:

The thermostats have an "energy saving" mode. Set the Level to 255 to put it in "normal/comfort" mode and set Level to 0 to put it in "energy saving" mode.
A number of manufacturers are working on them. One production-ready model we have here in the lab has two sets of set points for heat, two sets for cool, etc. Switching into and out of energy saving mode basically switches between the set points for the current mode.
