    ZWUSB100-US Driver

Just wondering if anyone else might be experiencing this....

Tried installing the TE software along with the new ThinkStick on my laptop (Toshiba).  The stick is recognized and the various MS usb files for an HID 'Human Interface Device' are loaded but windows asks to be rebooted for the new device to work.  After a reboot, the stick pulses its blue led but the TE software can't see the device.

A check of the device through device manager show that its present under the HID devices and that it is working... but not in the eyes of the software.   Also, my original Wayne-Dalton stick does the same thing.  However, installing on my desktop, both units work fine.  Comparing the device dll, sys, cat, date of the usb files, etc, everything is the same.

After hours of looking at this, my eyes are crossed and I'm stumped.  Every other USB device that has been connected to this laptop always works. ????

Open for any suggestions.  Even tried the MS 'sfc' command that verifies that all windows files are correct.

     Thanks,

    John

    John,

What operating system are you using on your laptop?  The ThinkStick requires Windows XP or Windows Vista.

    John,

It was good chatting with you on the phone.  It sounds like we have you up and running now, and that the issue has something to do with plugging in the USB stick before running the software--on one of your PCs...

We've created a support ticket to see if we can help with the latter issue through some extra checks in the software, but in the meantime enjoy your new software and thank you for your business.

    Chris
