    ControlThink Z-wave USB Adapter

    Hi there,

Will there be an European version available?

If yes, when can we expect this available for European users?

    Hi Snotneus,

We're hoping to have a number of editions available in the future (EU and maybe ANZ and HK), but I don't have any kind of timeline that I can release today.

The US version is Model #ZWUSB100-US, so a European one would be ZWUSB100-EU.

Any more news on a european version? Or any chance of getting my hands on the sdk only? (not really interested in buying some hardware I can't even use, sorry)

    Rob,

We have the SDK available both with and without the free ThinkStick--but since the ThinkStick is a "free bonus" with the SDK, there's no cost-savings in ordering it without the hardware.

I'll be sure to post when we have more info available on a potential EU version of the ThinkStick.

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm,

    Chris

    Re: ControlThink Z-wave USB Adapter

    Chris,

I'm sorry if I came off as negative, was never my intention. I'm just getting slightly annoyed that this great invention that is z-wave is of such restricted use here in europe. I want it all, and I want it now.

Ideally I'd get the SDK with the thinkstick and then only having to buy a few dimmers and some 10A switches, perhaps some motionsensors too. Now I'll have to buy the SDK, the ACT ZCU201, and the aforementioned dimmers and stuff. It's not that I have anything against the ACT (well, except that it's an expense I wouldn't have to pay if I were living in the US).. well, okay, truth be told I really like the thinkstick since you can update it.

Wow, I think I've had atleast one beer too much tonight. Hope you could get something useful out of my ramblings. Thanks for your quick reply, and I'm eagerly looking forward to some EU products.
