Z-wave thermostat - with remote temperature sensor

Has anyone had any experience with the RCS TZ40 z-wave thermostat, using a remote outdoor temperature sensor. Or any other model with an outdoor sensor. I would like to use the controlthink SDK to read not only the thermostat set point, but also a remote sensor connected to the thermostat. The RCS unit manual says it can connect to their RS15 remote sensor, but does not talk about reading the temperatures with the z-wave protocol.

I'm interested in this as well.  I have an RCS TZ16 running, and it works great with the Z-wave interface, but I don't have a remote sensor on it yet.  Maybe I'll give it a try.  Anyone else have any experience doing this?

I just sent a message to tech support at RCS asking about the remote sensor polling capability.

Here is what RCS had to say:

***The RS15 remote sensor is attached to the WDU, of the TZ40, and meant for indoor use only; you’ll need to check with the Z-Wave topology documents [on the Zen-Sys website] to determine if they support the retrieving of OT with the Z-Wave protocol. We, currently, do not make a Z-Wave OT sensor***

Doesn't sound very promising. I think I might investigate getting a weather station. There are no zwave ones, but there are ones that connect to PCs, then also other things are available like windspeed, sunlight, humidity, etc.
