I just received my media for ThinkEssentials 2.0 Professional Edition. I had a licensed copy of the non-pro edition installed. After installation, it's still the non-pro version (still has the "upgrade" link, doesn't have a "take over the network", or a "Create a network", etc.). Part of the problem might be that I don't have an installer stick yet. But still, that shouldn't interfere with "Create a network", right?
Also, I wasn't prompted for my license key during installation, which makes me think it's retaining the old license.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried rebooting. No success.
Is there a mechanism for installing pro over top of non-pro? Failing that, does anyone know where the license key is held? There isn't an obvious registry entry (I haven't resorted to registry sniffing the application yet, but that's next).
Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
