Hi Chris,
spot on as usual. I had to go into advanced Video settings, set the fonts to 96 DPI rather than 120. Then I had to reboot, but when the system came back up, presto I had time setup buttons in the Schedule window. I set the timer to be on from sundown till sunup. I will check it when I get the switch to work from my PC.
I would, however, prefer to use the 120 DPI font, it is easier on the old eyes. Any chance of getting the problem fixed soon?
So here are some suggestions:
First, please add a ramdomize time period so I can turn on my porch light on a random amount of time before or after sunset (or whenever), where I control the maximum time variation. That would help the place look lived in, even when I am on vacation. My old porch light timer had such a feature.
Second, please allow some time period offset from sunset/sundown. For example, I might want to turn the Xmas lights on a half hour before sundown, as it is already getting darker then. Or maybe I want to save money and wish to turn the lights on an hour after sundown. I can also combine the two features to set the lights to come on any time from an hour before sundown to sundown.
Third, I think we disagree on what a schedule is. I had to set two schedules, one for lights on and a second for lights off. But I really just want a single schedule that sets lights on or off the way I want them. I would suggest a timescale across the window for a day and a line going across, with me able to move the line higher or lower at any time I want. Then repeat seven of these, one below the other, to get a weeks schedule. Then allow me to name them, like Vacation, Xmas, Halloween, Normal. Now I can run my normal schedule until I go on vacation, then I switch to the Vacation schedule, etc.
Cheers,
Kari
