I recently purchased ThinkEssentials, which I installed from the disc and then immediately updated to version 2.4 (build 4) through the software update function. I'm pretty sure that I saw reference to scheduling in the first version I installed, but it's completely absent now, both on the Settings page and when I right-click on an area or scene. I even re-entered my license key, but to no avail. I can't find the Modify Schedule option anywhere. Please advise.
I'm using TE 2.5 as my primary controller and have added the HA07 as a secondary controller, which leads me to a few questions:

1. Is the correct way to add the HA07 to the network to press Include Device in TE and the INCLUDE (COPY) > Channel 1 OFF/DIM (RA) sequence in the HA07?

2. Am I correct that the above process adds the controller to TE and copies the network devices to the HA07 but does not include any "channel" information that the HA07 can use?

3. Is there a way to automatically program the channel buttons in the HA07, or do I have to hand-program the HA07 buttons by visiting each device and programming each button in LEARN mode?

4. After I make a network change in TE and need to update the HA07, is there any way to prevent the update from wiping out my hand-entered channel information in the HA07? I tried the Channel 2 OFF/DIM variation of the include process noted above, which is supposed to update only network information and not channels, but the buttons on the HAO7 stop working nevertheless.

5. Finally, if I add another HomeSettings controller can they update each other, or only if one of them were the primary controller?

Any clarification, advice, or insights you could offer would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Hello,

I purchased from an US Internet site the USB controller CTZUS-1EU WD333339 Rev.A Serial Number 18D with the impression I could download a free ControlThink software to control it.

I thought the free software was ThinkEssentials but it is wrong because after downloading the version 2.4, when starting, the software require a License Key that I did not receive.

1- Please confirm that I must buy now the Software and let me know if from Europe, France, I can get the software only, I have already the USB CTZUS-1EU controller.

2- If I have to spend money on the software, let me know if it control the ACT HomePro ZCS201 RS232 Interface or if it only support USB Device and Mainly from Leviton family.

3- What is the interest for me of Zwave PC SDK software for me

4- If the Zwave PC SDK software has a practical interest in my situation, please confirm that I must load the version 1.2 them them the V1.3 to have the latest version available today.

5- When I have downloaded your latest SDK software, in which directroy should I put it.

Thanks for your detailed replies.

Why do they work with the Hawking device?

Thanks.

ControlThink Update

Hi Everyone,

There have been some recent changes here at ControlThink HQ. Attached below is a message from our Director, Ian Hendler _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Ian
Hendler, as the new director of the ControlThink division. We are sad to tell you that Chris Walker has
left ControlThink, but are glad to say that he is exploring many other exciting
opportunities, and I and the entire ControlThink team wish him well in his
endeavors.

Here at ControlThink we have always prided ourselves on
being an innovative team that is passionate and knowledgeable about Home
Automation and Control Technologies and Z-Wave in particular. That will not change, and will in fact be
even more apparent in the software updates, new products and activities you
will see coming from the entire ControlThink team. As an example of this new focus, in the last
1 ½ months we have dramatically increased the pace of our developments and have
produced 5 Betas and a new Release, and this is just the start of some exciting
things to come.

Going forward, ControlThink will be working even more
closely with our "parent company", Leviton Manufacturing, Co., Inc and our
Z-Wave ecosystem partners. Leviton has
been a leader in the Home Automation Space since we launched our DHC (X10
protocol based) product line in the early 1980's and created the Intellisense http://www.hometech.com/learn/intellisense.html in the 1990's. Today, that tradition continues with our Z-Wave
protocol-based Vizia RF+ and ControlThink Z-Wave technologies and platforms www.leviton.com/viziarf . In short, there are many synergies between
Leviton's tradition of leadership in the Residential Automation space and
ControlThink innovation's that we will leverage going forward. One of these areas includes online training
in ControlThink products as part of Leviton's award winning online EZLearn
training Leviton EZ Courses (Vizia RF+
training under products section-Note Registration Required) . Please note that the ControlThink training is
currently under development, but the existing Vizia RF+ training will give you
a flavor for what's coming here.

Furthermore, ControlThink will also be working closely with
our partners in the Z-Wave ecosystem. As
many of you know, one of the industry's premier trade shows, EHX (Electronic House Expo) is coming up this
week in Orlando, FL http://www.ehxweb.com/. We will be working with many of our partners
including ADI, Worthington, DDG, Universal Electronics Inc., Somfy, and others at the show. I expect that some of you may be attending
this event, if you are please come to the Leviton sponsored trainings and visit
our partners at the show. I would enjoy
meeting some of you "face to face" at this event.

Home Automation and computers have always been a passion of
mine, and I have been privileged enough to participate in a variety of industry
organizations and standards bodies that help to drive the Consumer Electronics (CE)
industry such as CEA (Consumer Electronics Association). Many of you are also very passionate about
Home Automation and driving the developments in the space. You have provided excellent feedback and
feature requests which will assist ControlThink and Leviton in continuing to
create the high quality, feature rich products that the market is demanding. In fact, the valuable feedback and feature
requests that you make will enable ControlThink, Leviton, and our partner's
products to be even better. In order to
further these goals and promote this collaboration, we be holding regular
"open" webinars (times and dates tbd) and I encourage you all to attend, I will
also be inviting many of our Z-Wave ecosystem partners to also participate. I
would invite you to check out the TechHome Division of CEA, there are some
exciting resources. Full disclosure, I
am the Vice Chair of this CEA TechHome division http://www.techhome.com/ http://www.ce.org/Membership/Divisions/103.asp and believe our Divisional activities may
interest many of you.

As to our product roadmap, I also wanted to share that we
will have an exciting product release on April 1st (no
kidding). This free ControlThink
Professional edition update (for 2.x users) will feature integration with
Leviton's handheld primary controllers http://www.leviton.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=25505&minisite=10024
and permit users to easily and quickly exchange data between these devices and
ControlThink Professional edition software.

In closing, I want to thank you all for your support and I
look forward to your feedback and assistance in driving the innovation and
technology that we all enjoy.

Sincerely,
Ian Hendler

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

To this end, I will now be administrating these forums. Please address any questions or concerns to me, and continue to provide your feedback so that we can continue to produce the high quality products that ControlThink is known for.

The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected. (state 14).
GMAIL is my provider.

Anyway,

I was interested in the ThinkStick due to the SDK. Am I to understand that the SDK is no longer available for license? If I purchase a ThinkStick, will I be able to use version 1.3 of the SDK for a hobbyist implementation? Also, does the thinkstick have x64 drivers?

Thanks.

I presume that it will be one that is compatible with this installer tool remote back up/restore. i also presume that it is one that will be able to hand master control back and forth between TE and it.

My system is on a desktop and it is not convienient to move the thinkstick to within 3' of a device for joining or updating. I'd like a hand controller that can do this.

I have one of the original Vizia RF controller, but do not think it is compatible with 2 way master swapping and back-up/restore.

Is the newer Vizia RF+ remote the one for me? Are there others I should consider?
